The thumb stick controller can be installed on either the right or left handle and is adjustable in 3 height positions. When the thumbstick is turned on the front joystick becomes inoperable. Repeated short presses on the thumb stick power button step through the chair’s speed setting allowing the carer to choose a comfortable walking pace. Turning off the thumb stick with a long press restores control back to the front joystick.
