The Power Chair Folding Mechanism is a great invention. Its simple and quick folding mechanism allows the powerchair to be folded with ease in seconds. Once folded it occupies a minute of 0.13 cubic meters of space, making it approved by airlines worldwide.

The Freedom chair is powered by two brushless 200-watt electric motors and a choice of either one or two batteries. The standard range with one battery is 9 miles however 18 miles can be achieved by adding a second battery. The brushless motors are maintenance-free and provide both power but also very smooth electromagnetic braking. The powerchair suits users up to 17 stone in weight or 110kgs. The A08 model will support users up to 110kgs or 17 stone in weight.

The powerchair is designed to provide maximum comfort and ease of use. It features a padded seat and shock absorbers. With great manoeuvrability and simple controls, this powerchair is well suited to operation both inside and outside.

The optional attendant control kit can be fitted with ease and allows a carer, to operate the drive of your powerchair when walking behind it. It simply plugs into the charging socket of the new style main joysticks and includes a very useful set of rearward-facing handles which allow the carer to hold onto them. The thumb stick controller is adjustable in three height positions and can be installed on both the left or right side of the chair. When the thumbstick controller is turned on, the front joystick becomes inoperable. Short presses of the control button step through the chair’s speed settings allowing the carer to select a suitable walking pace. To turn off the controller, a long press of the control button will restore control back to the user’s joystick.
