The XS Aluminium Self Propelled Wheelchair from Drive Medical is a well-equipped self-propelled model that is fitted with many quick-release items that make it a very transportation-friendly wheelchair with high levels of comfort and a colourful and attractive aluminium frame. This competitively priced aluminium wheelchair is well suited to active users who weigh up to 18 stone in weight.

The wheelchair folds with ease and the rear wheels remove at the push of a button. Other features include footrests that swing in and out to enable transfers on and off the wheelchair, flip-up armrests to simplify side transfers, a half-folding backrest and removable arms plus quick-release footrests, making it a compact unit for storage or transportation. The armrests are positioned to allow them to slide under a standard desk. For greater comfort, the backrest can be tensioned to suit and is padded as is the seat cushion.

From a safety point of view, the wheelchair has been successfully crash-tested and is suitable to be transported in a suitably equipped vehicle. Rear stepper tubes are fitted to allow safe and easy mounting of the curb and reflectors are fitted to improve outdoor visibility in the dark hours. Finally, the wheelchair has solid puncture-proof tyres front and back to prevent punctures when you are out on your travels.
